how i make video dvd

I'm not sure if that's entirely true. You can have it converted, it just may look like crap.

In order to do this process, you need to get software designed specifically for it. You'll need software to take the video files, convert them to MPEG2 and the proper screen resolution, and create the Video_TS file. You may also, in certain applications, have the option to create your own menu. If not, you'll just pop the disc in, and it will play.

You may want to research individual programs to find one that suits your needs before getting one, so you can see what features it is you need.

Like I said previously, in order for you to have a dvd quality dvd played back on pc or whichever method you choose.. you will need to have dvd quality videos to start with. If you have grainy small 300x300 videos stretched out and converted to be dvd format, of course it's going to look crappy. You will need dvd quality videos to start with.

As for the tools, there are many out there that you can use. Windows Movie Maker, which I assume you use XP and have can make one for you.

should i just use windows movie maker is that free or does it cost?

and mpeg2 should i download those files and use them or just stick to converting them cuz my nero express an burn dvd's of the following file types

.bup .vob .ifo

i just found movie maker on my pc so imma check that out

umm

i have some avi files that i would like to convert into mpeg2 or whichever is dvd quality even if the resolution isnt all that cuz i can learn about how to use different resolutions after i burn me a successful video dvd

and i dont know how to use windows movie maker to convert them or to encould them or decode them whichever it is that i gotta do next
 
Movie Maker won't do that. VSO ConvertXtoDVD is my favorite program for doing this easily, the TMPG kit is another good choice. Not as easy to use, but quite powerful and well featured (there are free demos of both). Nero Vision will also convert these files, if you have it, but it's not the best program for doing so.

Avi2DVD is one popular free alternative, although I haven't tried it myself.

I was saying I didn't think what you said was entirely true.

Anyway, I don't think Windows Movie maker makes DVDs. I know there is Windows DVD maker in Windows Vista, but that requires a WDDM compatible card. VSO convertXto DVD is a very nice application, I would also throw my support behind it.
 
now i have a new question

how do i successfully burn a copyrighted dvd cuz i have this movie dragonball z broly second coming and i was wondering how i can make a dvd copy of it because of the reason that the disc when i got it at the store has some scratches in it and i wanted to make it so i can replace it with a clean and fresh new dvd the protection it has on it is dvdcrypt css/cppm it says that was being detected and the program i am using to detect this is aray scanner
 
If it is protected, then you are screwed 1. cuz its illegal and 2. cuz its hard to find a program that will burn throught the copywright protection.
 
Over past experiences, I had never had any problems with encoding or coding videos. I have made .avi, .mpeg, .mpg, etc... movie files with MOvie Make and Nero without any changing of the original formats. Have you tried doing it yet just to see if it requires you to change the format or not?
 
As far as I am aware Movie Maker has never been capable of saving in any format other than wmv and cannot do dvds. It can import various formats if you REALLY have to use this software.

If you want to put avis to dvd with freeware there is a prog avi2dvd. Have not used it but it looks quite good.

I think video is one area where it is better to go with one of the cheaper commercial packages for converting formats, editing and authoring the dvd. They are so much easier to use than most freeware. Sonic MyDVD, Ulead VideoStudio, Pinnacle Studio etc.

For freeware you will need a bunch of programs.

hey i copyed my dbz successfully

it can even play in ps2 my scratched up dvd made image and burned it so is it illegal to do that or is it illegal if you havent purchased the original copy cuz i have the original copy
 
i just havent got to the encoding and decoding yet i will get around to that soon tho possibly or just give up but im glad that i successfully made a copy that works and runs just as good for my movie since the movie dvd got scratched up while i had bought it i guess they droped it alot and i bought it new

It's only illegal to sell software that does it in the US. Not illegal to use it.
