How important is multi platform support to you ?

Hey everyone just out of curiosity thought i would throw this question out there for discussion.

With such a big rise of mobile devices and different os systems and seemingly only going to get bigger, how important is multi platform support for the software you like to use.

So many of the most popular traditionally windows based software are all making or already have made versions for android & ios, software like 3d mark, cpu-z, ccleaner, skype etc

I find myself very much trying to use and find software that has multi platform support, both for sake of being so familiar with the programs and also not having a certain program on windows for a purpose, then a different program on a mobile os for the same pupose.

I see where you're coming from, but it personally doesn't affect me too much at the moment because I tend to just stick to one platform, that being Windows on my desktop because I don't do a lot on mobile devices.

Though my brother has an iPad and has some apps on it which I'd llike to get on my Windows Phone but sadly I can't because either their for iOS only or for iOS and Android only, not really all that bothered though.

Yes that is a problem, I have compiled a word doc with all the best software for mobile devices and list what platform each is available for, a few are either android or ios exclusive, the vast majority are both android & ios, but very few are available for windows phone & blackberry.

Android and iOS are the two most widely-used mobile platforms that's why.

Though I foresee more apps coming to Windows Phone in the future. There's already a lot of apps you can download in the Windows marketplace on my phone and most are pretty good. I don't care about mobile games though.
