How is that Possible?

I have partitioned my hard disk into several drives. Just now, i was converting few of my videos in mp4 and avi into avi format. And the drive-(I) was complete and it had just about 90MB free in it. I had forgotten it, and converted those vids into my required format(THE DEFAULT DESTINATION LOCATION was DRIVE I).

Yes, the Video Converter converted the videos and placed it in I Drive, where there was no space to accomadate more than 90 MB. I realized that there was no space in the drive by myself, and stopped converting the video. And then, i deleted the converted file in Drive I. And now, i can see the free space has become 300MB(which was 90MB prior).

How is that Possible? Am i increasing the Hard Disk Capacity By Anyway!!!

i have had th same problem...sometimes, th waythe drive was formatted/partitioned, will hide some of thedrive space...even booting up a live windows disk wont show the hidden space...but it may alsobe virtual space that its recognizing.
i fixedmine, but i had to reformatt with linux to do so...and yu probly dnt want to mess with that.

According to that screen, you only have one drive. What version of XP is installed? Do you have the original release of XP with no SP applied to it or do you have SP1, SP2, or SP3 applied to it? To get a better explanation of whats going on do this.

Right click on "my computer" icon and click on manage.

click on disk management.

We need a screen shot of this area of your page to determine whats going on.

well, I've actually deleted the other drives from the image, i have 5 Partitions.
WinXP SP3, Version is Genuine. I had SP2 before, but then upgraded to SP3...
