How is this Power Supply?

Just let me know how good this PSU is for a mid-range gaming computer build. I ran my plans through the PSU calculator and it suggested 265W, so I decided to go higher for extra add on room.

I know that what really matters is the amperage at certain voltage, but have no idea what to look for there.

what kind of PC part are you going to use in this build, 265 seems too low

According to the calculator, 265 was all I needed.

That included:

AMD Athlon X2 4200+
ATI x1650 Pro
Sound card
Wireless network card
A couple USB devices
SATA hard drive
And a few fans

Regardless of the wattage you need, that doesn't have nearly enough amps if you wish to power a decent system. 400 to 500 would probably be just fine but I'd recommend getting around at least 26 amps on the 12v rail(s)

Exactly, that's an older ATX1.3 design, and is in fact a rebadged HEC 300W unit. At a cheaper price, you'd be much better off with an XClio 450BL, which would have no problems at all with that system.

Thanks, I'll order that XClio 450 watt when I order my new GPU for my current computer, and then put it in the new computer when it gets built.
