How is this PSU/Case?

Ultra Blue MicroFly Aluminum Micro ATX Tower Case with Front USB, FireWire and Audio Ports and Ultra V-Series 400-Watt Power Supply MFBL400 at TigerDirect.com

I saw this deal when I was looking for a better power supply to power my computer. The case looks fantastic. I have a microATX so I am pretty sure it would fit. More importantly... how is the PSU? I figure it would be more cost effective to get a deal like this than just buy a 30-50 dollar PSU and install it into my plain 3 year old tower.

20A on a single 12V line isn't that great....so if you were just upgrading the PSU I would say don't get it. But with the case, as long as you know that it isn't a great PSU, then it is a fine price.

Well... what makes this not a good one? I have seen ones that say 'dual'. Is that better? I currently have a 250W PSU and am putting in a GeForce 6200. The only calculators tell me I am at about 250ish W now so I am assuming I will need a better PSU because I do have a lot running. I though this was a good chance to get a cooler case also.

Well what do you mean by a high end system?

I have an AMD Athlon XP 2.08ghz processor, 2 sticks of 512ram, 1 audio card, 2 internal harddrives, 1 tv tuner, soon 1 video card.

Is that too much for this PSU?

The psu should be fine, but you're gonna have a hell of a time trying to wire everything in a small case like that. Get a HUGE bag and twisty ties and enjoy :) Oh btw tell us how it goes, cause I actually am thinking of buying that exact same case (but from aspire, clear side panels and all) for my next build.

Well the case is up and running. Took about two hours to get everything in there and hooked up properly, but it is all in. Everything seems to fit VERY tight and compact, but nothing was forced in and there was enough room for all my stuff (2 harddrives, 2 disc drives, 2 PCI cards, 1 AGP card...).

The metal case inside the case isn't exactly strong quality steel. It seems to be delicate and too much force can definitely break/bend it. As long as your careful everything holds up. The case is of a stronger metal and the navy blue in my case seems as if it will never come off. The temperature display is weird because there isn't anything you plug into your mobo. It basically is just a free floating thermometer that you stick in there... it does seem to work however. The tray that "slides" in and out... doesn't really do that. It is VERY difficult to get in and out. You really have to shimmy it in and out to move it. I suppose with any compact, small case, things are hard to move around. If you forget to put something in or connect something, you almost have to take everything out to get back to it.

All in all, the case is very nice. It is very light, due to the type of metal, and it is very attractive.

ooo sweet, yeah that's pretty much what i expected. I'm just debating on whether getting a small compact case, or a bigger heavier one right now. Thanks!

It is definitely much lighter than I would have expected. The funny thing is that I think my old, now empty case is still heavier somehow than this new one. After about a week now having this Ultra case I do notice that I think the temperature reading is off a little. It appears to be a lil different than what the bios screen says.
