How Many FB Friends Do You Think The Limit Should Be?

The limit is 5000. I almost have 1000 friends on Facebook now and I think that should be the limit. People that start making too many requests get into trouble. I once got a warning for addibg friends that I knew years ago but they forgot me so that's why they rejected me and I got that warning.

So how many do you think the limit should be? I think one thousand but it is five thousand.
 
Don't know why there should be any limit but I also don't understand why someone would want 1,000-5,000 FB "friends". What is the point other than bragging rights? I have a total of 78 friends on FB and I personally know every single one of them.
 
I think the limit should be however many people you actually know. I have less than 10 friends, and I talk to them all on a daily basis. Adding people that you barely know is just asking for trouble.
 
I have no friends on Facebook..don't even have an account,I prefer to keep things "REAL",If i want to chat with friends il phone them,visit them,email them..none of this social networking poop.

I hate how these days everything's integrating Facebook,My mate at work was telling me how a couple of people he has added on his profile updates nearly everything they're doing like,Just cooked my dinner,now going to eat it...eaten it..was lovely,now watching eastenders on TV....Now im going to brush my teeth and go to bed...SERIOUSLY!

But back on topic,I cant understand why they would put a limit on how many friends you have?
If someone does not know you or want to add you,cant they simply just decline?..cant see what the issue is.
 
I have about 100 friends on my facebook, some are active, some aren't. Why would you want to spend most of your day reading your feed from your friends especially if you have 1000 of them. If you have 1000 friends on FB then you don't have a life. lol.
 
I know Facebook can bring out the worse in some people. I find it better on social networking sites like forums and chatboxes. Sometimes I don't know why everyone seems to know how to join Facebook but not forums and chatboxes when you just register the same. Another thing is that people put all their personal life on Facebook.
 
I use facebook to for the reason it is built for, to stay connected with friends. Basically after finishing school/college/work it is pretty hard to stay in touch with friends but facebook can be used for that and I pretty much like the pages features as I get the news for my favorite clubs, news etc. It is also good to share photos, videos and stuff.
Even though we can use better sites or other services to stay in contact or communication, but all friends don't have the service or you don't know whether friends are using those services, so basically facebook is the most common and most popular way for daily social stuff.
lol even at work my facebook is open and people think I am facebook addict, whereas the tab is only open and I am working in the background lol.
