How many processes is average in Vista? I just installed Vista Ultimate and noticed it has about 62 processes running at any given time. Is this too many?
With XP I had only about 52 going at a time.
In my XP machine I am running 31 processess. In Vista Ultimate I am running 42. You are the one that has to go through the process list and decide which ones you need to have running and which ones can be turned off.
As you can see the answers are all over the map. The number of processess running depends on how you want your system to run. Some people want to run every piece of software constantly and others run their system very lean. It is really your choice.
