How many primary partitions can we make?

I would like to know How many primary partitions can we make?

i got 250GB HDD, i wanna make 6 partitions.

can i make 2 primary and 4 extended(Logical) partitions.

Will there be any problem if we make 2-4(4 is the max for primary) primary partitons.

^ 1 Primary partition, hence the term 'Primary (First - One) Partition'. Every other patition would be extended/logical.
