How much better is this card?

more specs:
6200:
>>

>> Bus Type AGP
>> Memory 256MB DDR or 128MB DDR
>> Core Clock 375MHz (vs. 350MHz standard)
>> RAMDAC Dual 400MHz
>> API Support Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0, OpenGL for Microsoft® Windows®
>> Connectors VGA, DVI-I, S-Video Out
>> 281 million vertices/sec

7300GS:
>>

NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GS
>> PCI Express®
>> Memory 256MB DDR2
>> Core Clock 575MHz (vs. 550MHz standard)
>> RAMDAC Dual 400MHz
>> Microsoft® DirectX® 9.0 and lower, OpenGL® 2.0 and lower for Microsoft Windows®
>> Connectors VGA, DVI-I, HDTV
>> 431 million vertices/sec.

Are vertices/sec a good way of telling how good it is? because there is a big difference in them.

BTW those specs are off BFG techs website.

and please stick to the question, and not recomend other cards :P Thanks.

Huge differance. the 7300 is much master. Its PCI-E and has a higher core speed. You would notice a big differance in performance specialy if you use benchmark

benchmarks mean nothing to me, dont care what my score is, i care hwo it runs :P but thanks for the input, makes me less skeptible or doing me and my freinds plan for both of us getting a new video card...

also i know some pci e cards need extra power, correct? Where do i plug this in and whatdoes the conenctor look like, i have a fairly high quility PSU, so it should have one, if its nost just the same power as a floppy gets which is my asumption but i could be wrong.

I am not sure if they all have a separate connector, but some definitely do. And no, don't try to plug a floppy connector into it

It looks like this:

the black 6-segment thing on the right

The 7300 is better, but not great. One of those cards is AGP and the other PCI-E, which do you need? What's your budget?

If the card needs external power (most at this price range don't), it should come with an adaptor.

You never told us what one you needed.

The 7300 would be much better.
If you read my posts, its irrelvent to my question.

How much "better" is better, like percetage wize? I wasn;t sure because the memory is onlly 64bit which would hold it back at least a little.

Welll i got the 7300, even though it only has 64bit memory, its about 20% faster i'd say, It was worth the 40$ though.

yea, they're both crap... theyre for like, watching movies lol
If you think they are both for watching movies your an idoit, i'm going to leave it at that.

I used to game with a MX440, I could play most games with that(damn games with pixel shaders), now with my BGF Tech Geforce 6200 I can play all games, i can play BF2 on high settings no AA, and Fear on Med-High, It's all about knowing how to use your pc. You coudl watch "movies" fine with a 8Mb video card, Belive it or not just 2 years ago I was "gaming" with one, it was a sys. Although my games were Starcraft and Battlezone 2, it means nothing, you dont even need a extreamly low end card to watch movies, you can easily play all games with a card less then a 6200.

Why do you even bother posting? how did that post help AT ALL? Are you here just to be annoying? When I post I at least attempt to make an effert to say something in the post that is usefull.

My FX5200 plays all the games I want to play on high. Of course I don't play anything like Doom 3 or the likes, and nor do I game a lot, but it works for me.

@fade2green514

If you think the 7300 is crap, then why is your avatar the Nvidia 7series? Is that card not in the "7" series?
