how much increase in performance?

Hey, I just got my amd 64 2800 but I havn't hooked it all up yet with the new mb and all. But I'm just wondering, How much increase in performance am I going to get with this cpu compared to my old celeron D 2.66ghz? Cause the only reason I got the amd 64 is that it was only about 20 dollars more than the celeron D with the mb and all.

you should see quite a good increase in performance, but i depends on what tasks you are doing. If your not performing massively cpu intense tasksthen you may not see too much difference, if your a gamer or encode films etc then you'll see a big boost
