i have a Dell Optiplex GX240 wit the following...

CPU: 1.7GHz intel P4
RAM: 768MB PC133
GPU: nVidia GeForce4 MX440SE
HDD: 6.5GB maxtor
PSU: 250watt Dell
OS: XP Pro SP2
 
I'm going to go with the 200-300 USD. It a dell so some one that doesn't know any beter will pay more for it. it think at least 200 probly more on like ebay.
 
btw, i knoe optiplex's my school is full of them, and theyyyyy just suckk. slow ass hell, iono bout urs but my expierences with them.... sigh....... yeaaaaaa
 
Thats what we run with at are school... the optiplex... now cuz i work there i got one from the school. It's not tooo bad....but not good either, when you sell it just rember that its a P4 not a celron. I would probly go for like atleast200.. i sell 733 and 933 PIII for about150-300 to people....
 
mines upgraded from 256 pc133 to 768, ati rage pro 16mb chitty card to the mx440, and thoes ate the lil optiplex's , not the mid tower, mines better as i own both ;P
 
It depends on how good of a friend he is, i would say probly for that to a good friend of mine I would charge like more then $300, but I am a greedy person. If I didn't know them that well just because its a dell and you upgraded ram and video cards i would go in the $400-$600 range. This is all assuming they don't know a lot about computers. Like I said, I'm Money hungry :D
 
6.5 GB Hard drive??? How did a computer like that only have 6.5 gb of space? My old PII 266mhz LAPTOP has 6gb. My old 566mhz Celeron HP had a 15gb hard drive and 64mb of ram.

Some older systems had "1 small system drive + 1 massive storage drive"
