How much

well, these arent even proper video cards!

more memory is not necesserily better, but they are more expensive. it depends really on what cards u get, what model they are for a start, and whether they are new/used.

u want 9200, 9250, 9500NP, 9500, 9600NP, 9600PRO, 9600XT, 9600AIW, 9700NP, 9700AIW, 9800NP, 9800Pro, 9800XT, 9800AIW?...there are many more trust me...all of which fit the category of ATi AGP8X (*)**MB.

512MB cards are not readily available on ATI's site as an on-front order (you must talk to them to get this special product). However, NVidia seems to have 512MB cards geared toward CADD, etc. for their big ready open GL abilities (newest drivers offer 512 MB memory support http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_66.93

512 MB are usually special order workstation cards....e.g. professional Hollywood video editing, super CADD, super architecture design, government/military computers, medical machines (tunneling scan machines, etc., although 1GB and 2GB video cards are primarily for military use in jet fighter planes. Airline industries use them also for their own purposes.

Expect to pay big prices. Check out the previous 3dlabs link to see why they are so expensive.

If you have enough bling to pull off a super desktop system now, you must be a big power user (or professional). In 2006 through 2010, 512MB may become mainstream gamer cards. But, not as cheap as of now.

Hehe I know a couple 9800Pro 256MBs clocked lower than 9800Pro 128MBs :P

do any of their worstation cards have >256MB?
1. Their workstation cards really should be called "lite workstation cards" :P
