How often do you guys scan your computer for viruses and update softwere?

How often do you guys scan your computer for viruses and update softwere?I don't really scan that much... i download updates every day, if there are updates.
 
No scanning, Auto updates for Anti Virus, but on windows, I am selective, dont want to download all rubbish that isnt needed.
 
Typically once or twice a day .... ghost once a day and clean format once a week .... it's excessive but its routine now :P
 
So praetor, you have virus softwer? what's the point of having virus softwere when you format your pc every week? i know there is a chance of getting one, but it's pretty slim...
 
Formats dont get rid of viruses. I format because i have specific software configurations i want depending on what's going on for the upcoming week. 'sides I've got a couple games which arent DirectX9.0b (havnt tested DX9) friendly (i.e., mass artifacing) and i play them from time to time.
