How old is my Opteron 144 CABNE?

I recently ordered an Opteron 144 S939, and when I orered I asked what I would be getting. They said a CAB2E. Lo and behold - 3 days later, I get a CABNE through the post!

My question is, as I'm aware that the newer CABNE's aren't quite as good as the older batches, how can I tell from what's written on the chip how old it is?

Yes. After Cabne, there will be 3 numbers and another 4 letter combination. For instance a CABNE534GPMW. Look for the number in bold. Past 540 are the later ones and they are not as good.

Also you can google your stepping and see how far other people OCd. But the only way to find out is to try yourself.
