This is against forum rules. This kind of thing should not be discussed here or you WILL be banned. The school has the firewall in place for a reason. If you have valid need to do whatever you're doing, Im sure the school LAN admin would gladly allow you access.

I'm not sure why Ku-Sama helped you..you got lucky. But in the future please refrain from posting anything that goes against forum rules.

He could be using it to get on here and get help with computers in his 3rd p networking class if he needs some help? or... that could be me and ku-sama

davidireland, how about we stop playing moderator.

As to get back on topic, try and enter the IP of the website into your browser, instead of the actual URL.

To find the IP, just do a WHOIS search (http://www.networksolutions.com/whois/index.jsp, this ones my favorite) on the domain, and the IP should show up, so you can copy and paste it into the URL bar.

Like for example, the site you wanted to visit, Miniclip. The IP of that site is 66.165.172.181 (as obtained by doing the WHOIS search), so what I would enter into the URL bar is http://66.165.172.181/.

Enjoy.

Clutch, how about we start playing by forum rules? It doesn't matter if he is a moderator or not, you are not allowed to discuss these things on this forum.

I won't consider it.

But, can somebody please give me a link to the rules which claim we cannot talk about this sort of subject matter? The link I've seen for the forum rules (http://www.computerforum.com/announcement.php?f=22), does not say anything about what we are discussing in this thread.

If there is a rule I missed which makes this thread go against the rules, please tell me.

This is hacking. What if we start a discussion about how to get around the passwords and security in the Pentagon? Would that be against forum rules?

Clutch, re-read the second rule.

Thread Closed, links removed. Clutch, asking for ways to get around a school filter is against the forum rules. This is your and i_hate_spyware's first and only warning.
