How secure is secure?

I use NOD32 Antivirus 4, Windows firewall and Spyware Doctor. I've noticed that NOD32 doesn't detect some Trojans or malware. So, I decided to install anti-spyware application. Some people suggest me to buy MalwareBytes, but I think Spyware Doctor is a better choice at the moment. At least its reviews are better :)

I've been using it for 3 years and never had a single invasion. I've had alerts,
but nothing has ever gotten through.

Your definitions must have gone out of date at some point.
 
Hey i'm using Kaspersky Internet Security and sometimes i use Spybot Search & Destroy and Ad-Aware to scan my computer.

I thought the same that there isn't a problem and security is great. If you would check for viruses, you would find them, maybe harmless, but still.

considering an active program (virus or otherwise) needs a running process, I would know if I had a virus.
