Hi I am new at this Computer Forum.

I was cleaning and remove some programs that I don't need. I have an Intel CPU (Core 2 Quad 9550) and I wonder why AMD got in "Add and Remove" in control panels, I never install AMD in my computer before. Should I delete it or leave it??

P.S. sorry my english is bad.

That is a neat trick. Maybe you downloaded a driver/resource update for Windows that installed resources for both AMD and Intel processors, or you installed software packages that are owned and operated by AMD. Maybe since AMD owns ATI now, they bundle AMD software with their cards?

I am not sure I know the answer but I have seen stuff like this before. There could be many different reasons this happened. It could even be a broken software installer and detected the wrong processor or the developer has a bug that installs the wrong processor support.
