How this for my new computer ? Could it be cheaper, better for the money im spending?

Ok this is what im getting, i already have windows and a really good cpu heat sink and fan, ive already got an 80 gb hard drive but i think i mite upgrade to bigger as ive only got about 6 gb left on it

Heres my list:

The motherboard, CPU and ram is in a bundle:

AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Venice 90nm (Socket 939) - Retail

Then im gona get this case:

A-Top X-Blade Ultimate Black With 580 Watt Psu -Pci Express-Cable Manager 20/24 Pin + LCD Controller

£117.49


TOTAL : £810 (round abouts)

What u ppl think, shud i go for 1 gb of ram but get CAS 2.5 for cheaper
 
looks good, but you don't need the sli mobo if you're not going to get another vid card later

and yes you should get 1 gig
 
oh yes forgot to mention that i will be gettin another 7800 in few months, so SLi i need. thx anyway. Shud i go for a higher CAS and get more memory?? like 1 gb pc3200 CAS 2.5??
 
junglist_soldier, why don't you spend that extra £20 and get a 7800 GTX? I know a lot of people are slating the fact that it's overpriced and you can overclock a 7800 GT better than a 7800 GTX, but an £20, it's worth it. I was in your situation about what graphics card to get, and well go for the GTX, I have an I am extremely pleased with it :)

That is (of course) if you can afford it :)

Id ditch the SLI board in favor of a NF4U board

1. You can get cheaper 2-2-2 memory than XMS3200XL ... or if not, just bump the vdimm :)
2. Pairing CAS2.5 with SLI?

Yes perhaps you can OC the clocks... but you cant OC the pipes.
