Hi everyone at ComputerForums.com, i was wondering if it is possible to add more ram in my desktop/laptop. i have heard of people doing this and am wondering if it is possible. if it is then how? the specs on my lptop and desktop are below.

Laptop: Toshiba Satellite A35-S2276 *(with no finger print scanner)
Ram: 1.5GB
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit and Windows XP 32 bit
If you need to know anything else just ask. Thank you.

2gb is the max amount of ram that laptop will recognize. It's ddr memory and they don't even make anything bigger than a 1gb stick. So you are stuck at 2gb max for the laptop.

You don't list specs for your desktop system. Would either need to know the make and model or the model number of the motherboard if it was custom built.

oh sorry i haven't gotten back been really busy here are the specs for the desktop.
Compaq Presario s4000nx
windows xp media center 2005
intel celeron 2.4ghz

If you need to know anything else just let mekniw i will be checking back everyday now. Thanx

The specs for my HP TX2 say max 4GB, and i'm running 8GB.

4GB sticks of ddr2 laptop memory simply didn't exist when the specs were published.

Not promising anything, but if you can find larger sticks that will work with your computer, it may work.
