How to check certain parts

Reading the oc guide preator posted I found out that changeing the HTT that I changed alot of settings on my computer such as the CPU, memory, and what not. Now the scary thing is I thought my mobo blew and im sending it back for another one but it well did blow 2 capaciters later on the next day due to me. But as I think about it I MIGHT of hurt my CPU and memory and possible my video card the whole 9 yards. But how would I be able to check to see if I blew my memory if I dont have another computer to put it into to see if it works. My older computer will not support that type of memory since it is PC3200 and it will only take PC2100. And for the CPU how can I tell if I blew it up or not it looks fine and I had a Waterblock on it keeping it at 31 degress C which is good. The only thing I can think of it that I just blew my motherboard but im getting very paranoid right now and I just want to get my my motherboard pack put it in and fire the thing up back in working order again. Since this is for my senior project and I got 16 days left before dead line. After that I might attempt to overclock again because im stubborn and will not stop under I figure it out and finally be able to do it just alittle bit but that will proble turn into a lot and the same thing will happen again. AM I just one of those unlucky people that blew all there stuff up all the time or am I just doing something seriously wronge. I have another current post on this forums I will link below then sorry for the spam but im going crazy.

you need a comp to test it with... thats the only way... or take it to compusa and they will test it for you, if your willing to blow some cash.

Other than visual inspection: you dont.

Well we know th mobo is shot, so the only thing that really could die directly are RAM and hdd if you were using RAID
