How to clone a hard drive / OS ?

i have two laptop computers, both have windows 7 on them,

computer A (i will call it) has all of my personal files, settings, pics, documents, desktop icons etc etc on it,

computer B (i will call it) has a fresh newly installed windows 7 OS system,

what is the easiest way to "clone" everything from computer A, to computer B, i want computer B to be exactly the same as computer A, document files, desktop icons etc etc,

is there an easy way to do this?

If they are 2 different model of computers, it can't be done by cloning. Different hardware and it wouldn't work. Personal files can be transferred over but any programs would have to be reinstalled.

you can use acorns for cloning. but as johnb35 said if their hardwares different then you ll have problems with drivers. and some programs and windows will want enter serial.

You mean Acronis, not Acorns. Acronis does have a universal image feature that will inject the drivers you specify into the image while it recovers, allowing the image to boot on another PC. This should only be done in an emergency crunch though.
