how to connect two external monitors while keeping laptop monitor running?

so i have two external monitors connected to my thinkpad's dock, one is connected with VGA and the other using displayport/DVI adapter.

i opened up "screen Resolution" in win7, windows detects all three monitors but only lets me use two only.

is there a way to get 3 monitor running at the same time?

I'm pretty sure that's a hardware limitation. However, you could use something like the Matrox Dual Head 2 go to "split" one output to two monitors.

EDIT: I should mention that ATI has a feature called eyefinity, but I doubt it would work with your laptop graphics...
