how to delete?

Just select them and press the Delete button.
Pressing Ctrl+A will highlight all emails in the current folder (assuming you are using an email client) and pressing Delete then would delete all the emails, including potentially good ones. I would avoid the Crtl+A method unless you are sure you want none of the emails in the current folder.
Another thing you can do is, if you have a couple good emails and lots of junk, press Crtl+A to highlight all, then hold down the Crtl button and select the mail you DO NOT WANT TO DELETE. This will unselect them, then press Delete.
If ever in doubt, just delete them one at a time.
