How to determine the correct tripod for my camera?

Hi,

I have a Canon PowerShot SD200 digital camera. I'm looking to buy a tripod with the height preferrably between 50" to 60".

How do I determine which tripod fits my camera? I went to eBay; I did a search for tripod, and boy there were so many to choose from.

Is there such thing as "universal" tripod for all camera?

Its very standard. The one that mostly everything uses has about a 2 cm thick screw and a smaller pin to hold it in place

Best one to get would be the Manfrotto 190 Pro and a 141RC Head. Solid as a rock!!!!
