how to find DVD write speed

I bought a light on lightscribe OEM DVD+RW for 30 dollars at compusa. It shipped with no software of manual, is there a way to verify if they sent me what i paid for using windows or Nero. Also, does anyone know where in Nero i can control write speed/quality, and what a good compramise would be. My writer should write DVDs at 20x, thanks for the help.

Another question, how can i verify that my writer is both plus and minus R, because it only says plus on the front.

nero infotool for both. it's somewhere in the nero program. mine's in the nero toolkit folder
