How to fix bad master file table on non-system drive?

Have a 2 TB Seagate drive that's not too old. Got some message about the mft on boot down. Now the system shows that there's data on the drive - i.e. "My Computer" shows 359 gigs free 1.81 Terabytes uses, but no files are showing up when I go into the drive.

I assume there's a problem with the master file table on the drive. I have GetDataBack but the scan shows 0 file size on the files.

Any suggestions how to retrieve my files?

The first thing I would do is to run a CHKDSK utility.
Open Command Prompt (CMD) and type:

C:\WINDOWS\system32\chkdsk.exe Z: /F /R /X /V

NOTE: Letters in the red color mean that in can vary from computer to computer and from a hard disk drive to a hard disk drive."C:" is the drive letter of your computer's hard disk drive on which the "chkdsk.exe" file is stored to"."Z:" is the drive letter of your drive with MFT corruption you want to check and attempt fix.
Last 4 letters are parameters.They may vary from Windows to Windows.The ones I gave you are for Windows XP operating system.
Let me know which Windows operating system you use and I can give you the correct parameters.If you use XP then use the ones I gave you.

Leave CHKDSK process to finish once it starts.It may take a long time on big hard disk drives.
