How to fix Partition error #105?

Can you give us a little bit more information please?

Such as:

-is that internal or external HDD?
-When the error occurs?
-did you try formatting the drive completely with tools such as Kill Disk and then creating the partitons again and then format them?

1) The HDD is in a laptop.
2) The error is displayed in Partition Magic 8 after an analysis.
3) No and no.

I would erase entire HDD using Kill Disk if I were you and then recreate all needed partitions again, but since you have OS and data on that HDD,don't do it unless if you have all your data somewhere safe on other HDD.

Did you try completely deleting that specific partition in Disk Management and then recreating it again?
Because you do not need any special programs such as Partition Magic 8 to delete and recreate partitions when you can do it with Disk Management which is already built into Windows OS.

By the way what OS do you use?

The laptop in question has Windows 7 on it.

No, I haven't tried anything yet, since I wasn't sure what to do.
