How to format a HDD?

I have a HDD and I want to sell it, but I need to format it. It is the only HDD I have so I cant format it withing windows, as it has windows on it. Is there a tool I can use? I have hear of hard drive nuke or something like that that you put on a flash drive (which I have).

Or a live linux CD of Parted Magic and use EraseDisk.

Its not external, and since the flash drive is small, cant use a live CD. And kill disk is if you have 2 hdds, one with windows another with something else, but I am trying to format my only drive.

Put the drive into another system and format it.

Kill Disk works wether the drive is internal or external and wether you have Windows or not and wether you have only 1 drive or 100 drives...
