Well here i have a problem. I have a Dell dimension 3000 windows XP desktop that was recovered from a recent fire from my moms insurance agency. Here is my question, There was nothing wrong with the computer but it has the high smell of SMOKE. How can i get rid of this smell. It is pretty bad and i have tried berry splash spray, but it only works for about 10 minutes and then it smells bad again.

Maybe go for a damp cloth and just scrub the outside of the case?

Or you could use a product like what pine 'o' clean or Orange power (I don't know if you have that where you live) just find something that looks like it has a smell to it.

Or even metho?

Tuffie.

Probably a BTX, but I think most newer Dell's have fairly standard boards besides that...

What about leaving it open in the sun for a while. Do you have a place where it wouldn't get dirty if you sat it outside for a few hours? As long as it's not getting power, it really shouldn't matter if it got wet either...but I wouldn't recommend it :P

Is it possible to take all of the inside components and put them into a good compag presario case that i have lying around?
