i just recently bought 1 gig of kingston PC3200, and i realise my CPU can only run at a core clock of 166 mhz. Any sugesstions on how to get the best out of my RAM?
my current settings in bios for my CPU are 166/12.5x.
Would it be possible to change these to 200/10 so that my RAM will run at the 200mhz?would it damage my RAM?

Download the program FreeRam XP Pro. You can find it at http://www.download.com
Disregard that post, as that has nothing to do with the stability of your RAM.

Try running your Athlon XP 2800+ at 200x11, which is what I do for my 2800+.

It's not going to hurt the RAM, as the RAM was meant to run at those speeds.
