hi,
i have problems watching some video files. At this site one could check out if it works, but as i sad on my mashine it does not.
http://healthlinks.washington.edu/howto/camtasia/
the links are under setup.
now ... i have win xp prof. with service pack 2....
realPlayerSP....
now... i guess it should download the plugin needed automatically but it says to me.. it has been searching but couldn t find the needed files... so i tryd to do it manually and i copied the
- camtasf.dll
- camtasr.dll
files into the plugin directory of the real player but still would not play the files.
then i read, that with realPlaye V10.5 it should work.... but it didn t ... so i switched back to SP and then i tryd to get the full color converter module also manually and i found the
- rncolor_10_0_0_300.rup
but now i don t really know what to do with it.

so i really i ran out of ideas.... so i just wanted to ask if someone of you out there is able to actually open those files.... and if so.... HOW IN THE WORLD HAVE YOU BEEN ABLE TO?

thaks ahead for your help

I dunno, my dad paid for this Real Player converter thing ( I don't recall what it is exactly) and it doesn't do anything.

I don't think you made your problem clear. Please answer some questions:

1. What are you trying to do?
2. What program are you using?
3. What are you talking about with the camtasia bit? That has nothing to do with playing video files, at least not logically.

And Green Dog, please don't bully new members.

hey...
mhh... well mabye my thougts crused around in sort of a not too straight path.... let me just try to make myself more clear by answering ur questions ultipig. (and Green dog252 i think ur answer was not usefull at all so thanks for nothing you jerk).. now the questions...
1. i wanna go on this site http://healthlinks.washington.edu/howto/camtasia/ then click on the links under setup to open the videos.
2. i try to open the video with realPlayerSP
3. Well on the site right above the links it says.... u need to install this camtasia plugin for realplayer so that u can see the video

i hope things became a little clearer now.

I'm not sure what the problem is. It seems like the files on the washington.edu website are corrupt or Real Player doesn't support the files. I'm leaning towards the first option because no matter what program I try, the videos don't work. I don't know what to tell you at this point, sorry. :(
