How to install windows without a cd drive

I have a Toshiba Portege 2000 That i am trying to install Windows xp on. The Computer has no cd drive and it will not boot from a usb cd drive. It does boot from a usb floppy drive. The hard drive in the computer is not a normal 2.5" one and has a different type of plug on it.

Is there any way to install Windows xp on it?

you can download the 6 floppy disk set of the XP boot disks. I had to do this once a long time ago on a system with no optical drive. Its not fun, just so you know.

see if you can connect it on a network with other computer or if it can boot to a usb flashdrive(if possible) old computers uses LAPLINK program to transfer data from one PC to another
