How to keep cookies?

There are a couple of sites for which I want to keep cookies on my machine so I don't have to log in,authenticate, or change settings every time I visit the site.

This seems to happen after a restart. I'm using IE 7. Examples: TV Guide site loses my home city and I must restate it each time; Visa site doesn't recognize my machine and I must re-authenticate each time; various forms for which I check "remember me" don't remember and I must re-login.

Can anyone tell me what's happening? AV is Trend Micro; I routinely run CCleaner; PC is a Dell laptop running Vista SP1.

It' likely that Trend Micro sees them as a tracking cookies and is deleting them. With Ccleaner if you have the cookie option checked it will erase all the cookies on your system when it runs. IE7 can also save your login info as well.
 
There's an option in Ccleaner to keep any cookies you need, go to options>cookies, and move any you need to the right hand pane.
