How to load 2 hard drives with XP Pro

I have a 160GB WDC as my Master HD and I want to install another WDC 120GB as a Slave (volume storage device).

The 120GB has XP Pro installed on it and I am wondering how I 'wipe' it clean (format it?) when I try to hook it up as a Slave, without having issues, if there would be any issues?

Is the total size of having both HD's (280GB) installed create any issues?

My BIOS recognizes the 160GB HD OK.

What steps would I have to take to get both HDs to work properly together. Right now my 160GB Master is working fine.

Any inputs would be appreciated.

I did just that, after reading your post, when I got everything to work I found that the 120GB Slave had a complete OS still on it and I looked around and found the box it came in and found a cd rom from WDC (diagnostics or something). I used it and it had an option to erase the HD, partition, and format it, and I did it.

At this point everything seems like it is working as it should. I hope that this will continue. :)
