I have purchased some voice recognition software and would like to install it onto my netbook which does not have a DVD/CD player. Could anyone help me by letting me know to go about doing this?

Thanks!!!

try going to the website of the software and see if they have your software in a downloadable format, otherwise, if its possible you will need to find a external DVD drive to connect to your netbook. or you could try, although this is highly unlikely, but if you have another computer you could copy over the files from the DVD, but most likely this would not work with any proper programs, since mostly will have forms of protection on them. but it is definitely worthwhile to go to website, i can almost guarantee that they will have a download there or something...

Either get an external DVD drive and use that.

Or, on another computer, put your DVD in the drive and use a program to create an image file (.ISO). Put this on a memory stick or external hard drive, something which works with USB, and put it in your netbook. Using magic iso (downloadable from here: http://www.magiciso.com/tutorials/miso-magicdisc-overview.htm ), mount the file and it will run as though it were in a DVD drive.

you can find programs to create an image file there under CD/DVD/images. I would recommend Alcohol 52%
