How to Lock Users out of Control Panel?

greeting all,

......It's been a while since i have been here and not sure where to post this so, here goes;

......i somewhat maintain a friends office computer and his employees habitually change the internet settings, delete history, cookies, etc . HOW or what program can i use to lock them out of the control panel from making any changes?...THANKS!

You might need XP Professional in order to get the Group Policy Editor, which is not available in Home.

However, try this: http://www.j79zlr.com/gphome.php and scroll down to "Control Panel". There are some registry hacks you can try, but no guarantees.

Locking them out of control panel wont stop them from deleting history or cookies. You would be better off getting some kind of parental control software. Kinda sounds funny when ur talking about employees but, its the sad truth
