How to make a mouse

Hello,

Im interested in making a mouse . Really i need to know were i can by the hardware from for a wireless mouse and i would like to make my own casing for it . Is this possible im sure somwere you can get mice hardware . I do not know if it would be legal to use another companys hardware or not ! ?


Anyone got some ideas any help would be great :D !

I want to make a mouse were the case if perfect for my hand. So i have already got the plastics sorted out i just want to know were i can get the actual inside bits from ! ? its probably not possible but worth a try

it would be legal anyway, as long as he doesnt try to sell it under another name

you can buy and sell mice all day long if you want :)

As for the perfect mouse shape... nice idea, bit overkill however, there are plenty of nice mice shapes around i'm sure one will fit your hand perfect.... unless you have 6 fingers :)

Hahaha funny :p na i got 4 fingers and a thumb. I never thought about selling them would it be legal if i sold it and said hardware supplied by ligitech etc... ?

Like said, just modify the casing that surrounds the mouse. If you already have one.. try to remodify it again to the shap and screw holes of an existing one.

I think that'll be your best bet

You should post pics of this mouse when you get it done. I have never heard of a person wanting to build there own mouse before.

I don't see how it would be illegal at all. Afterall, you are buying hardware, take it apart and change it. It's a simmilar case with people selling modded PC cases. Perhaps a not saying what the original HW was would be suitable but not a requirement. It's like selling a highly modded car. Very rarely does it have the original manufacturer sign on.

Yeh i not see why not. I could just put hardware supplied by microsoft or whatever mouse i decide to MOD.

Any law pros here lol ! ? i do not want to be falling into a big pit !

I'm pretty sure it would be illegal to resell it under your own name, as the companies making the original product have not licensed you their components.
