how to make "logos"

hey, i am making a forum for my school and i want to make some rank icons. kinda like what cf has. but not like it. what program can i use that is free and easy to use?

Yep, Rambo pretty much summed it up. There's also GIMPShop. Pretty much like a toned down version of Photoshop.

You can try using Jasc Paintshop Pro and Photoshop, they are free temporarily. If you keep a backup of your registery and download the free version for a month, which is what it is. You can upload the backup version of your registery and because you have no record of photoshop being installed, you'll be able to install it and use it again.

You can try a 30 day trial of Fireworks, that's used for creating vector images, so it's very good at making logos and the like.

Yeah, that's true, like the others have said, try Paint.Net, I've used it and it's really good!

You can make that in paint.net, just takes some practice. Look up some titourals online about making stuff like that.
