How to make my computer die

Hi there

I know this sounds like a really really weird question, but i have a very old Laptop (about 8 years old!! lol)

My dad said that i can get a new one when it dies. ie to never turn on again.

How can I help this process along?

Besides the obvious water damage and acts of vandalism what else can i do?

Ive already backed up, but need it to "stop working" when I turn it on!!!
