How to merge two physical harddrives

Hey guys I want to merge to physical harddrives on my computer. I have installed windows on :C drive which is an internal harddrive and the orgiginal one is the D: drives. How can i merge these to drives? And will my computer become faster if i merge them? Because that's the point of merging them since my :C drive is double slow as my D: drive.

I have tried to delete the volkume of D: and merge it into C: both in disk management and in AOMEI partition but it didn't work. So i don't know what to do.

Thanks in advance. See attached files.

You can't merge two physical drives, even if you could you would still be limited by the slowest of the two drives. You can only merge logical partitions on the same drive.

Is the D drive a SSD? If so, you should move your OS to the D drive and use the current C drive for data.

Typically if you want to combine multiple hard drives, you would utilize RAID, however that won't be a good solution in your case as the drives are vastly different sizes.

Yes the D drive is a SSD. How can i move my OS to the D drive and what is an OS? Will it delete my data? because i have many important files on the :C drive

OS is the operating system. I'll let someone else answer the best way to migrate an OS from one drive to another, I know it can be done but I have not done it.

I always recommend doing a fresh install of Windows on the SSD, and reinstalling all your programs.

You'll get better performance out of the SSD with a clean install. If you're so inclined to not do that, you can use cloning software like Clonezilla.

Your picture is too tiny to see clearly, but just be sure that if you decide to clone, that you don't exceed the size of the SSD.

It looks like you have a 120GB SSD, but you are using 470GB on your 1TB drive. You would have to get your OS down to 100GB or less to migrate.
