How to partition, only 10g of 200g useable

Ok, so I installed XP yesterday after finally getting the sata drivers loaded. I'd partitioned 10G for the OS, now how do I get the computer to recognise the remaining 180G on my hdd? I haven't had time to do a search in windows for info on it, so should be ok to figure it out on my own...well, there's an equally probable senario where I break the HDD and the whole computer melts down..

Thanks.

It depends a bit on your experience with computers, those who aren't too good should use partitioning programs with GUI's (Graphical User Interface). Like Partition Magic, a really good easy to use program. Or some other software. But you can use a text based partitioning program which comes with Windows. I can't remember how to use the text based program right now. Hopefully someone else can.

Brain fart mrjack?
you can also look under the dism manager, not a true gui, but not too bad.
start--->control panels----->administrative tools------> computer managment---->disk manager

click on the unpartition space and right click and partition the way you want it done...
