How to play DVDs

I accidently posted this in the wrong section, but how do you play DVDs?

2. Get a program to open it, such as VLC.

cole2k codecs are free and fully integrated with windows media player, ive always used it and its brillianyt

Thanks, any others? And do i just run it and it installs the codecs?

RealPlayer will play DVDs, too.
If you want to pay like $10 like I did, look for an OEM copy of PowerDVD.

recommend having VLC Player just for the heck of it - it will play a variety of files (.mkv .ogm .ogg .avi .mpg .wmv etc) so it'd be good to have
