You know how you can insert web page counters by just pasting in html codes? How then do you do the same for an ebook? Meaning, how do you paste in the code into MS Word and will it still work when you convert your word document to PDF format?

Is there an easier way of "keeping count/track" of an ebook's number of views?

can't be done in the way you want, neither the doc, nor the pdf will execute code like that. You could link a counter to the link button that is used to open your ebook and just count how many times that book is opened

Yeah, as apj101 said, that is the only way to do it. A good way of tracking how many people have clicked the link is tracking your sites website traffic/hits. A brilliant site which provides free service for this, I use it and it is great, is here:
