how to receive images through email?

when I send an image in an attachment, the receiver doesn't receive the image. Instead the receiver finds a white space with a little box and red x.
what can I do so that the image will be received?
or what can the receiver do so that the image can be seen in the attachment?

It has two possibility,

first, that your picture can't be accessed by your browser that why it was not appear. (it's problem on your webmail provider).

second, If you are using Internet Explorer, probably your Internet Setting didnt allow you to showing the pictures, change this setting or instantly try to right click, choose "Show Picture".

Try sending the email to a different email address.

Try zipping the image in a zip file and sending it as an attachment in which the guy who is receiving it will download it as it is and then unzip it on his computer and see the photo normally without the need to have a look at it through his webmail or whatever email method he is using.
