How To Remove Virus (It is called Virus Remover 2008)

There's a new virus on the loose. It just popped up suddenly on my computer. It keeps asking me to check for viruses.

It's obviously a virus since I saw many links on google saying it's a virus and it must be removed.

How can I remove Virus Remover 2008? And restore my computer to the way it was before I had a virus?

EDIT:
Note: I just read the sticky. I'm using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I'll use a hijackthis log after.
