hello i have a asus p5n32-sli premium and i have never used it and when i got all ht parts it didnt work nothing comes on screen and seems like the cpu but copu is fine im useing right now on old mobo so just wanted to know how to RMA the asus p5n32-sli thanks

Try unplugging the 12v cpu feed if you didn't forget that and then lightly replugging that back in to see if the plug has a loose contact. That will stall a system right there. For rma information you have to contact the vendor directly to get the return authorization number from them. That has to be seen on all labels on the shipping carton used to ship the board back. They have to explain the way they want it returned.

You need to email them and tell them what the problem is, if they agree it is the motherboard, then they will rma it.

Email: [email protected]

If you bought it from newegg, they are pretty good about returning things, but for motherboards they will just ship you a new one, and not give you your money back.

I don't think newegg ships to Australia when they won't even to Canada. The vendor it was bought from would be the first place to grab their own return policy within a certain time period whether 30 days or less. An email response from Asus would most likely come in after the grace period was up from where you ordered the board from. They then have to ship a bad board back to Asus or the wholesale distributer for replacing their own inventory.

I would first contact the vendor for return information and their policy there since returning it directly to Asus would still take a lengthy period of time. Let the vendor handle that end of things.

i have trubbleshooted it somne much im sure its a faulty mobo si i need RMA and im in aus so how long would it take to get fixed and back here in aus >

theres no beeps when i take out the ram so ... there should be right and nothing no beeps when no cpu in jsut not anything on screen i tryed a diff video card too hmm

Assuming you have a PC speaker (or a motherboard buzzer) and everything but RAM is installed it should beep. With no CPU nothing should happen. Does the power LED come on when you have it all connected?

I have everything in speaker and i tried it without ram no beeps and yes i have power LED connected and it does light up ?

well it definitely sounds like it could be a faulty mobo but have you made sure that the cpu is good because the same problem could be caused by a bad cpu so you should either put in a cpu that you know works or try your cpu in a different computer to make sure and then if you are sure that it is not the cpu then it has to be the mobo so you should rma it and to do so you will have to register with asus here: http://member.asus.com/login.aspx?SLanguage=en-us and then register your mobo and then you can rma it no problem asus carries a 3 year warranty i hope this helps

The one thing I can point out here is what was seen last year on a friend's new build then and recently on the new build here. If you are seeing nothing but the green led and fans spin for a few seconds with no beep code it's usually the board.

Last year a friend saw the vendor send out two replacement boards when the first was lifeless while still seeing the power led lite up. When asking about getting another or changing the model or make and model I suggested trying a different model there. Whamo! The vendor received a bad batch of Asus boards!

With the new build here saw the first Asus M2N-E quit after 3 days. I got ahold of newegg and got the rma number for sending back to them and installed the replacement that was sent out still running strong now. In both cases "bad caps" or a bad bios eprom for the new build would explain what was seen.

This is why sending the board back through the vendor within their return date once you get the rma number will save time and effort. Let them deal with the Asus distributor if you didn't buy direct from them. If the Vendor is located in Australia you will also save on the shipping cost of returning to them there.
