How to run a Old 16 bit Program on W7/64

I'm trying to run a old friend "Clicktray Calendar" on Windows 7 64 bit and cannot get it to run consistently. Any tricks?

The only way to run 16-bit apps on an x64 platform is to run them in a virtual machine (such as XP Mode or another form of virtual machine). Only Windows 7 Pro and Ultimate have XP mode.
