how to "run configuration utility" WIN 95 ??

get an error at setup saying "invalid system configuration data - run configuration utility". Is this done in DOS? and what to do? thanks in advance.

You'll need to boot up MSconfig to modify this.

Windows 95 doesn't actually have Msconfig, but an alernative is located here.

It's talking about the config.bat, config.sys, or config.com file (don't remeber 95 much) but from what it sounds like is that the file that tells 95 what config (DMA, IRQ and whatnot) was corrupted or deleted. If you have a 95 install disk you can just re-install 95 (or better yet upgrade to atleast 98SE) over the windows directory again and it should replace the config file.
