How to save pages to desktop with Firefox?

Hello
I am using Firefox and really like it but the only way I know how to save a site to my desktop is to: right click them put save to desk top but then you get this folder for every sight. In IE it was just an icon after hitting "make shortcut to desktop"
Is there an easier way with Firefox?

you dont have to save sites to your desktop so its easier to get back onto them.

You can bookmark in Firefox

the only way that i know of, is to save the page as a bookmark in Firefox then click on the Bookmarks tab and left-click-drag the bookmark onto your desktop(must have some of desktop showing to do this)
