How to see FPS

How do i see the FPS when i am playing games. Need a program? Suggest one if yes. thanks

what game do you play? in half life games the console command is net_graph 3

you can even make in-game movies and screenshots with it. but,it also shows you the current fps

For Doom 3, hit control, alt. then the ~ key, then type com_showfps 1.

im going to try out fraps now, and i've always wondererd how u got the fps for games too.

fraps is decent, i use it in UT2004 and it works fine
